What is Splitrippy?

Splitrippy is a personal app for splitting shared expenses among friends and family during group trips.

Information we collect

• Your name and email address, provided when you sign up or sign in with Google.
• Your profile picture, if you sign in with Google.
• Trip and expense data you enter into the app.
• Receipt photos you upload.

How we use your information

• To identify you within the app and show your name to trip members.
• To send trip invitation emails on your behalf.
• To store and display expense and settlement records for your trips.

Data sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate Splitrippy — authentication (Clerk), database and file storage (Neon, Cloudflare R2), hosting and analytics (Vercel), and email delivery (Resend) — who process it on our behalf under data-processing terms. Within the app, your data is only visible to members of trips you belong to.

Data storage

Your data is stored securely in a managed PostgreSQL database (Neon) and is not shared outside of the app. Receipt photos are stored in private object storage (Cloudflare R2) and are only accessible to trip members.

Analytics & cookies

• We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand product usage. It is non-essential and, for visitors in the EU/EEA, is only enabled after you accept via the cookie-consent banner. You can change your choice anytime from the banner's “Cookie settings” or your profile. Your choice is stored in a strictly-necessary first-party cookie.
• We use Vercel Speed Insights for anonymous, cookieless performance (Web Vitals) measurement. It sets no cookies, collects no IP address or personal identifiers, and therefore runs without consent.
• Authentication and session cookies (Clerk) are strictly necessary.
